My name is Cheryl Vail, and I am thrilled to share my story with you. Martinique Hair Designs Ltd. has been a cornerstone in the industry for over 40 years, providing exceptional wigs, toppers, custom hairpieces and headwear.
Personal Journey
My personal journey with alopecia began 9 years ago, leading me to discover Martinique Hair Designs Ltd.
A New Chapter Begins
Eight years ago, the previous owner of Martinique Hair Designs Ltd., approached me with an opportunity. As she was preparing for retirement, she invited me to consider taking over the business . Honored and excited, I accepted the opportunity to help people through their journey. Since April 2024, I have proudly become the new owner of Martinique Hair Designs Ltd., i am committed to building upon its legacy, establishing a strong new identity, and making the business truly my own.
Training and Experience
Before acquiring the business, I worked closely with trained staff for several months. During that time I completed my "Medical Hairloss Transitional Service Certification". This invaluable experience equipped me with a deep understanding of various types of hair loss, including those caused by chemotherapy, alopecia, stress, and hormonal changes etc. I also had the chance to build meaningful relationships with both long-time clients and new ones, which I cherish deeply.

Cheryl the new owner is awesome. First she helped me with a wig. She was kind, helpful and patient.
Later I went for a bra fitting and prosthesis. She was understanding, kind and I was able to find a bra and prosthesis which was great. It made such a difference to find a bra that fits and a prosthesis that fills in the cupped shape that is sometimes left after a masectomy.
She made me feel welcome and is was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Cheryl.
